Dr. Rosenberg specializes in working with children and adolescents. Having completed several child and adolescent predoctoral trainings at Queen’s Children Psychiatric Center and Bellevue Hospital, she also did a one year intensive internship at Kings County Hospital specializing in working with children and adolescents. She has extensive training and years of experience in working with children and their families.
Dr. Rosenberg takes a warm and empathic approach to working with children and teens and they often express their gratitude at her kindness to them. Parents rave about her parenting advice and hands on approach to therapy. Play therapy helps younger children express their feelings, as they can not talk about feelings the same way adults can. Teens talk to Dr. Rosenberg and appreciate that she “gets” them and the issues they are dealing with. Dr. Rosenberg teaches parents to use mindfulness techniques with children/teens to help them be calm when upset and to focus on their strengths and whats going right. She helps children and teens express deep feelings and change negative thought patterns.
